2. What Data the App Processes

All data entered by the user (search sessions, finds, GPS locations, photos, notes) is stored exclusively on the user's device in local JSON files.

The app does not require registration or login.

The app does not use any analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking tools.

3. App Permissions

The app may request the following system permissions:

• Location (GPS) — to record GPS coordinates of finds and track search routes during active sessions
• Camera — to take photos of discovered finds
• Photo library / Storage — to pick existing photos from the device gallery and save captured photos to the app folder
• Internet — required by the map component (OpenStreetMap tiles) to display map backgrounds; no personal data is transmitted

None of the above permissions are used to collect or transmit personal data to external parties.

4. GPS and Location Data

GPS location is used solely to:

• Record the coordinates of individual finds at the moment of discovery
• Track the search route during an active session
• Display finds and routes on the in-app map

Location data is stored only on the user's device and is never sent to any server.

5. Photos

Photos taken or imported by the user are saved in the application's private folder on the device. They are not uploaded to any cloud service or external server. Photos are included in the local backup file if the user chooses to create one.

6. Backup

The backup feature creates a ZIP file containing all app data (sessions, finds, settings) and photos. This file is saved on the user's device and can be shared by the user using any method they choose (e-mail, cloud storage, etc.). The app developer has no access to these files.

7. Data Security

Data stored locally on the device is protected by the Android operating system's security mechanisms. The app does not send any data to external servers without the user's explicit action (e.g. manual backup share).

8. User Rights

The user has full control over their data:

• All data can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app
• Individual finds and sessions can be deleted directly within the app
• Data can be exported at any time using the backup feature

9. Children's Privacy

BeepBook is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Any changes to this privacy policy will be published on this page. The date of the last update is shown below.
